ABOUT JMTP
The Johnny Mac Tennis Project promotes and funds tennis as a change agent and sport of opportunity for New York City area children. Since 2012, JMTP has raised and deployed over $6,500,000 to support our Tennis Pathway to Success®.
Through our mission, JMTP has impacted nearly 6,000 young girls and boys from some of the most under-resourced communities in the country - primarily East Harlem and the South Bronx - through 34 week tennis programs, provided at no cost, in partnership with schools and CBOs. Scholarships to train year-round at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy have been awarded to more than 340 of these promising, young athletes.
For many, our JMTP pathway leads to four-year college tennis scholarships at some of the country’s finest colleges and universities: 22 JMTP graduates to date and growing! Some go on to careers in the industry, and a few to professional tennis careers at the highest levels of international competition. With your support, we look forward to expanding our mission and our impact.
